He was predeceased by: his parents, C. B. Taylor and Velma Taylor; and his brothers, J. F. Taylor and Fred Taylor. He is survived by: his wife Doris Taylor of Hayesville; his children, Michael Taylor (Kristin) of Lexington, Kentucky and Angela Carr of Brasstown, NC; his godson Mark Mercer (Corrie) of Hopkinton, Massachusetts; his siblings, Arvine Taylor of Newport, Zan Taylor (Shawna) of Newport, Nettie Zimmer of White Pine, Brenda Lane of Newport and Emma Reece of Talbot; his granddaughter LaShea Carr; and his great grandchildren, Lariah Carr and Layla Ledbetter.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Manes Funeral Home (363 E Main St, Newport, TN 37821). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Manes Funeral Home Chapel (363 E Main St, Newport, TN 37821). A burial will be held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at the Union Cemetery (420 Mineral St, Newport, TN 37821-3900).
