It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kay Shook of Hayesville, North Carolina, who passed away on October 6, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Kay Shook to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Richmond Pearson Maney and Bertha Bradley Maney; and her husband Robert "Jack" Shook. She is survived by : her sons, Gary Howell Mashburn (Carol) of Hayesville and Bryan Donell Mashburn (Martha) of Hayesville; her grandchildren, James Mashburn, Michelle Spry and Zera Chastain; and her great grandchildren, Kira Spry, Chloe Spry, Dalton Crapse and Pearson Crapse.
