He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Georgia Mardis Harris of Knoxville and John Edmond Harris Sr.; his wife Beth Porter-Harris of Hayesville; his children, Steven Harris (Patty Thompson) of Jackson and Kristin Pancoast (Anthony) of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania; his stepchildren, Joshua Porter (Marian) of Roseboro and Meredith Porter of Orlando, Florida; his grandchildren, Ethan, Alexis Pancoast, Jocelyn, Abigail, Ella, Gabriel and Elijah Porter; and his siblings, Timothy Harris (Irene), John Harris (Denise), Jeanette Harris and Maureen McKinney Sligay (Ron). He was also cherished by many loving nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, May 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Catalyst Church (1762 US-64, Hayesville, NC 28904).
