We are sad to announce that, on April 8, 2026, at the age of 83, Marvin B. Chitwood Jr. (Hayesville, North Carolina), born in Stephens, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Marvin may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin B. Chitwood Sr. and Virgie Chitwood; and his brother Greg Chitwood. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Chitwood; his children, Trey Chitwood (Kim) of McDonough, Georgia and Aimee Parrish (John) of Porterdale, Georgia.; his grandchildren, Chelsey Chitwood and Logan Chitwood; and his sister Marian Chitwood (Rance) of Toccoa, Georgia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
