It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Katherine Mixon of Hayesville, North Carolina, born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, who passed away on March 23, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, Mary Katherine shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Murphy and Mary Alice Overstreet Mixon; her sister Dorothy; and her brother-in-law Mercer Davis. She is survived by: her sibling's children, Elizabeth Davis and Thomas Davis. She is also survived by several special friends and caregivers.
