He is survived by: his parents, Raymond Hassel and June Van Hassel; his wife Heather Roberson Van Hassell; his sons, Benjamin Elrod of Hayesville, Joseph Elrod (Cassidy Marshall) of Young Harris, GA, Isaiah of Hayesville and Jeremiah Elrod of Hayesville; his sister Tiffany Angulo (Mac) of Atlanta, GA; and his grandson Colt Elrod.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Fires Creek Baptist Church (73 Hiawassee St, Hayesville, NC 28904). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
