With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ron Twist of Hayesville, North Carolina, who passed away on February 19, 2026 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Twist and Catherine Shiffler Twist; his wife Linda Twist; and his brother Ted Twist III. He is survived by: his children, Deborah Lee Matheson (Bobby) of Hayesville and Ronald J. Twist II (Nicole) of Coral Springs, Florida; his sister Darlene Kelly of Okeechobee, Florida; his grandchildren, Shannon Twist, Jordan Twist and Amber Taylor (Blake); and his great grandchildren, Brayden, Gracely Taylor and Jordan Twist II. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
