She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald Mathis and Jean Mathis of Andrews; her husband Gary Jones; and her daughter Tabetha Jones Howard. She is survived by: her brothers, Richard (Brenda Mathis) of Peachtree, NC, Michael (Lori Mathis) of Indiana and Jim (Diane Mathis) of Andrews, NC.; her sons, Dustin Jones of Charlotte, NC and Brett (Rachel Jones) of Brasstown, NC; and her grandchildren, Brooke Howard, Kayli Howard, Tyler Jones, Allison Jones, Brady Jones, Eva Jones and Kynlee Jones. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the North Carolina Foundation for Nursing.
