It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lucy Stone Brown of Hays, North Carolina, who passed away on July 27, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Verne Walter and Prudie Blackburn Stone; and her siblings, Max Stone and Agnes Elledge. She is survived by : her husband Rex Brown; her children, James Walter Brown (Tammy) of Lake Park, GA and Rebecca Brown Miller (Ed) of Boone, NC; her grandsons, Russell James Miller of Boone and Joseph David Miller of Boone; her siblings-in-law, Warren Elledge of Wilkesboro and Margaret Stone of Hays; and her nieces, Robin Elledge Bibby, Terri Stone Walker and Deborah Stone Rogers.
