He was predeceased by: his nephew Tyler Berrong (Ashley). He is survived by: his parents, Dwight Byrd and Carolyn Byrd of North Wilkesboro; his fiancée Shari Lowe of Wilkesboro; his sisters, Becky Childers of North Wilkesboro and Beth Berrong (Jeff) of North Wilkesboro; his nephews, Eric Absher (Jessica) and Nathan Childers; his niece Emily Billings (Matthew); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Oakleigh Absher, Ridge Absher, Brody Berrong and Saige Lyall.
