It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Pauline Carter of Hays, North Carolina, born in Lansing, North Carolina, who passed away on December 4, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Lester Hesque Jones and Millie Rosetta Blevins Jones; her husband Jerry Dean Carter; and her siblings, Alta Euldine Jones and Roy Dale Jones.
She is survived by : her daughter Linda C. Seamster (Kenneth W.) of Boone; her sister Rosemary J. Street of North Wilkesboro; and her grandsons, Guy W. Seamster of Boone and Russ W. Seamster of Boone. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends, each touched by her wisdom.
In lieu of flowers, her wish was that donations be made to North Wilkes High School, 2986 Traphill Rd., Hays, NC 28635 (please designate "Library" in the memo).
