She was predeceased by: her parents, Wheeler Bailey and Mary Sells Bailey; her spouse Dean Clyde Elledge; her son Steven R. Elledge; her grandchildren, Tracy Shumate and Barry Elledge; her great grandchild Noah Joseph Shumate; her siblings, William Bailey, Dwight Bailey and Ruth Murray; and her stepdaughters, Ruby Adams and Rita Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Ralph Elledge (Betty) of North Wilkesboro, Bruce Elledge (Heather) of North Wilkesboro, Neal Elledge of Hays, Sandra Shumate (Roy) of Hays and Barbara Massengill (Tony) of Traphill; and her half-sisters, Lucy Bowman and Bonnie Bailey. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
