It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Thomas Stansell of Hemby Bridge, North Carolina, who passed away on April 3, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lunie Stansell and Irene Stansell; his siblings, Ernest, Dewey, Jack Stansell, Betty Joe Kato and Willie Mae Stansell; and his great grandchild Addi Smith.

He is survived by: his wife Jean Stansell; his daughters, Kayln Smith (Nathan) and Rana "Becky" Stansell; his grandchildren, Adam Smith (Lindsey), Brandy Brown (Wayne), Jeremy Smith (Alesha), Bailey Dydula and Gabriel Dydula; and his siblings, Richard Stansell and Opal Thomas. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
