It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betsy Bowen of Henderson, North Carolina, born in Franklin, North Carolina, who passed away on July 3, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Lee Bunn and Denaize Meade Bunn; and her siblings, Gerald S. Bunn, George T. "Jolly" Bunn, Harold M. Bunn and Paige B. Hicks.

She is survived by: her husband Teddy Franklin "Ted" Bowen; her children, Gary Lee Bowen of Henderson and Kathryn Bowen Overby (Dean) of Henderson; her granddaughters, Emily Paige Overby (Joe Shields) and Anna Blake Overby; and her sister Denaize B. Chaney.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 114 Church Street, Henderson, NC 27536.
