She was predeceased by: her parents, William Leonidas Harris and Maude Nelson Harris; her husband Samuel Christopher Dickerson; her siblings, William Leonidas Harris Jr., Earl Brooks Harris, Britt Nelson Harris, Dorothy H. Pernell, Anne H. Coghill, Jane H. Robertson and Miriam H. Ausborn; and her grandson Robert "Bobby" Bruce Ayscue III.
She is survived by: her daughters, Susan D. Johnson (Greg), Paula D. Newman (Chip), Leigh D. Ayscue (Rob) and Elizabeth D. Sipes (Justin); her grandchildren, Kasey Newman Phelan (Tim), Blake Newman, Barrett Johnson (Kate), Anna Johnson, Blair Ayscue, Brooke Ayscue, Chloe Sipes and Harper Sipes; her great grandchild Norah Brooks Phelan; and her sisters, Nancy H. Bobbitt and Gayle H. Hollingsworth.
