He is survived by: his son Robert Eugene Stokes Jr. (Julia Bell Young); his grandchildren, Rebecca Michelle Stokes and Cloe Michelle Stokes; his siblings, Patty Carpenter Watson, Brenda Carpenter Spain and Alexander Clarence Carpenter Jr. (Janet Christine); and his nieces and nephews, Tracy Spain, Kevin Spain, Michelle Carroll and Thomas Watson.
