She was predeceased by: her parents, Boyd Edwards Jr. and Lawana Wilkerson Bohrer; her brother Shaun Edwards; and her aunt Clora Wilkerson. She is survived by: her children, Kimberly Nalevaiko (Charles) and Benjamin Powell; her grandson C. J. Nalevaiko; and her siblings, Boyd "Butch" Edwards III (Diane) and Athena Williams (Ray). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Sossamon Funeral Home - Henderson (1833 Oxford Rd, Henderson, NC 27536). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Island Creek Baptist Church (950 Stagecoach Rd, Henderson, NC 27537).
