She is survived by: her children, Thurston Wayne Dickerson of Henderson, Edward Lee Dickerson of Henderson, Melba Hamme of Elgin, Cynthia Dittrich of Greensboro, Jennifer Shaw of Henderson and Angela Bond of Chapel Hill; and her sister Gladys Hicks Westbrook of Spartanburg. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
