He is survived by: his wife Dixie Coghill Powell; his children, Heidi P. Hughes (Art), Jeffrey Scott Powell, Michael Rodney Powell and Robert Mitchell Powell (Sarah); his sister Dorothy Loftin Powell; his grandchildren, Lauren Hull (Jeff), Bailey H. Dickens (Jonathan), Jeffrey Powell, Dustin Powell, Gavin Powell and Austin Powell; and his great grandchildren, Harrison Hull, Molly Hull, Charley Grace Dickens, John Luke Dickens, McKayla West, Kinslee Powell and Saleena Powell.
