He is survived by: his parents, Carrie Holden Cheek (Mac) and David Chavis Sr.; his children, Zalayshia Chavis, Lauryn Chavis, Ari Chavis and Zayden Downey; his siblings, Willie Holden, Hykeem Henderson, RaShad McDougauld, Tameka Holden, Teosha Howard, Kymani Grant and Larrisa Richards; and his grandparents, Thelma Hanks, Annie Perry and McArthur Cheek, Sr.. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
