He was predeceased by: his parents, Roma Lee Yancey and Eliza Dortch Yancey. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn F. Yancey; his children, Danielle Yancey, Jerome Yancey (Rickesha), Felicia Freeman and Katrina Cook (Rocky); and his sister Cynthia Wilkerson (Alfonzo).
