She was predeceased by: her parents, William Macon Nelson and Ethel Brame Nelson. She is survived by: her children, Shanetta Knott and Lakeisha Knott; and her siblings, Sallie Nelson, Sylvia Gregory (Vincent "Link") and Len Nelson. She is also survived by 6 Grandchildren, 1 Great-Grandchild and a host of other relatives.
Viewing was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Davis-Royster Funeral Service, Inc. (926 S Garnett St, Henderson, NC 27536). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Shiloh Baptist Church (635 S College St, Henderson, NC 27536).
