She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Cruse Dickerson and Cora Hamlett Dickerson; and her spouse Terry Brummitt. She is survived by: her daughter Amy B. Gupton (Brandon); her siblings, Mary D. Owen (Clyde) and William Lewis Dickerson; and her grandchildren, Lora Rose Brummitt and Liam Cruse Gupton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association P.O. Box 7023 Merrifield, VA 22116.
