She is survived by: her husband Samuel Hilman Cannady; her brothers, Arnold Hammett Thomas (Margie) and Charles Jason "Chet" Thomas; her nephew Arnold Hammett Thomas, Jr.; her niece Amy Margaret Thomas of Townsville; her aunts, Shirley Williamson Adams of Raleigh, Mary Williamson Norwood (Chuck) of Townsville and Carolyn Williamson Harrell of Raleigh; and her brother-in-law John Fulghum Cannady (Elaine) of Henderson.
