With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edith Elizabeth Moss Dement of Henderson, North Carolina, who passed away on May 13, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Fuller Moss and Edith Eliza Renn. She is survived by: her sister Rosa Moss Averett; her brother-in-law Louis Averett of Wilton; her son Richard Mosley of Stem; her grandsons, Alex, Hunter and Kayson; her siblings, Fannie Pendergrass of Henderson, Cathy Eudy (Danny) of Oxford and Allen Moss of Henderson; and her sister-in-law Ellen Averett. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Lula Mary Satterwhite and Rosa Averett; two brothers, Ed Moss and David Averett.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Preschool or Children's Fund, P.O. Box 745, Creedmoor, NC 27522.

“I don't know what to say.....We lived so much life together. We helped each other navigate our working world. We gained and lost 100's of pounds together. When we would go out to eat after Weight Watchers we would throw out yeast rolls on the floor so we would not be tempted! We laughed and cried together. Our Girls Night Out lasted until 8:30pm! We were thick and thin friends literally! I will miss you so much Betsy! To her family, I am so sorry. She loved you all. She adored her grandchildren.”
