She was predeceased by: her parents, Newton Burke Penny and Lillian Mae Montague Penny; and her siblings, N. B. Penny, Joseph Penny (Joe), Thomas Penny (Tommie), Frances Bass and Lillian Ladd.

She is survived by: her husband Robert Earl Butler Sr.; her children, Tammy Butler Creech, Robert Earl Butler Jr. (Peggy) and Paul Jeffrie Butler (Brenda); her grandchildren, Mandy LeAnne Berry (Ron), Shaun Lee Fuller, Jacob Paul Butler and Heather Butler Johnson (Shawn); her great grandchildren, Ava Grace Berry and Natalie Reece Berry; and her siblings, Laura Penny Hamilton and Roscoe Prince Penny. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
