We announce the death of Fannie Mae Rice (Henderson, North Carolina), who passed away on August 29, 2026, at the age of 88. She was predeceased by: her parents, David Rice and Anna Mann Rice; her siblings, Annie M. Rice, Eola Cross, Edith Gregory, Nathaniel Rice, Samuel Rice, David "Joe" Rice and Ralph Rice; and her nieces and nephews, Ophelia Cheek, Mary Davis-Royster (James), Phillip Rice, Arnola Rice and Charles Jr..

She is survived by: her great-niece Eugenia Crews; her caregiver Gloria Hargrove; and her nieces and nephews, Roger Gregory Sr., Kim Rice, Mary Bea Jenkins and Lucille Parrish. She is also survived by other great-nieces, great- great nieces, great-nephews, great-great nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Viewing was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Davis-Royster Funeral Service, Inc. (926 S Garnett St, Henderson, NC 27536). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Davis-Royster Funeral Service (926 S Garnett St, Henderson, NC 27536).
