He is survived by: his wife Frances Wade Floyd; his son Scott Floyd (Shauna) of Wake Forest; his son-in-law John B. Hardy, III of Oxford; his grandchildren, Kayla Floyd, Benjamin Wade Hardy (Jessica) and Julia Hardy Christensen (Christopher); and his sister Julia F. Williams of Waynesville.
