We are sad to announce that, on September 1, 2022, at the age of 88, Fred Avon Bowes (Henderson, North Carolina), born in Franklin, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Zack Bowes and Mary Fannie Duncan Bowes; his son Freddy Bowes; and his granddaughter April Bowes. He is survived by: his daughters, Ava Slater of Henderson and Susan Proctor of Raleigh; and his grandchildren, Wendy Morales, Fred Michael Bowes, Crystal Bowes, Sandy Martinez, Kelly Smith and Deanna Campos.

The family has requested that memorials be made to the Autism Society of North Carolina, 5121 Kingdom Way – Suite 100, Raleigh, NC 27607.
