George David Langley Obituary

George David Langley Jr., 56, of Henderson, North Carolina passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026 at Duke Raleigh Hospital with his family by his side.

Born in Vance County, David was the son of David Langley Sr. and the late Laura Ellington. He was also blessed with the love and support of two very special step parents, Thomas Franklin and Norma Smith.

David will be remembered for his love of family, his kind heart, and the many lives he touched.

He is survived by his loving wife Cindy Langley; his children Carrie Horton and Lee Pegram (Megan); and his beloved grandchildren Kylee, Kaden, Elaina, and Jackson, who brought him so much joy.

He is also survived by his father David Langley Sr; his special step parents Thomas Franklin and Norma Smith; his mother and father-in-law Jimmy and Marsh Wallace; his siblings Diana "Dee Dee" Smith (Eric), Joey Hughes (Jana), Katherine Overby, and Justin Langley; his brother-in-law Josh Boyd; his aunt Wanda Hughes; his nieces Raven Wallace and Erika Smith; as well as many cousins, extended family, and friends.

Though our hearts are broken by his passing, we find comfort in knowing that he is now at peace. His love , laughter, and the memories he created will remain in our hearts forever.
