He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice Jackson Tucker and Harold Shields Tucker, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Bettie Boone Tucker; his children, Lanie Johnson (Clark) of Columbia, SC and Shields Tucker, III (Lynn) of Henderson; his grandchildren, Jennfer Tucker, Jacob Tucker (Tiffany) and Evan Johnson (Jessica); his great grandchildren, Adelynn Tucker, Violet Tucker, Jayce Aline and Sutton Johnson; and his siblings, Karen Worden (Dee) of Raleigh and David Tucker of St. Pete's Bay, FL. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the J. M. White Funeral Home (60 Zeb Robinson Rd, Henderson, NC 27536). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Nut Bush Presbyterian Church (12480 NC-39, Henderson, NC 27537).
