She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Hillman Barnes Sr. and Sue Helen Jones Barnes; her husband Charlie Thomas Evans; her son Charlie Thomas "Charlie Buck" Evans Jr.; and her siblings, Mary B. Woodard, Wilmont F. Barnes and Luther H. Barnes Jr..
She is survived by: her siblings, Janet B. Short (Larry), Bobby Barnes (Terry) and George Barnes (Dorothy). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and other extended family.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Sossamon Funeral Home Chapel (1833 Oxford Rd, Henderson, NC 27536).
