We are sad to announce that, on August 18, 2020, at the age of 26, Ian Josiah Simmons of Henderson, North Carolina, born in Asheville, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Joseph R. Simmons, Jr.; and his grandfathers, Joseph R. Simmons, Sr. and Michael G. Broach. He is survived by: his mother Rachel Desmarais (John) of Henderson, NC; his brother Conall Desmarais of Henderson, NC; and his grandmothers, Patricia S. Tilley of Advance, NC and Judy Shapiro of Atlanta, GA.
