He was predeceased by: his father Isham Guy; and his siblings, Rose H Burgess, Darrell Hedgepeth, Janie Ellington, Lester Hedgepeth and Ermand Hedgepeth.

He is survived by: his wife Frances Jackson Hedgepeth; his siblings, Dr. John E. Hedgepeth (Fay) and Tahia Roberson; and his sisters-in-law, Betty Jackson Parker and Jeanette Jackson King. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand, great, and great-great nieces and nephews.
