He is survived by: his wife Janice Ann Gupton Matthews; his children, Lori Matthews Egan (Greg), Leslie Paige Matthews and Jerry Andrew Matthews Jr. (Felicia); his grandchildren, Kayla Janiga (John), Parker Garrett, Saige Garrett, Justin Egan, Jerry Andrew "Trey" Matthews III, Ethan Matthews and Bodee Matthews; and his great grandchildren, Ivey Janiga and Riggs Janiga. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and other extended family.
