He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Edward Patterson and Mary Belle Patterson; and his siblings, Shirley Hanford, Peggy Lassiter, Sarah Patterson, Nellie Aycock, Linwood Patterson, Wayne Patterson, Perry Patterson, Billy Patterson and Glen Patterson.

He is survived by: his wife Pamela Manning Patterson; his sons, Jason Patterson (Jeniffer) and Art Patterson (Mandy); his grandchildren, Anna, Alana, Avery, Levi, Austin, Lucas, Ada, Haley and Gracie; and his siblings, Carolyn Berger, Nora Short and Brooks Patterson.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, those planning to attend the service, are asked to adhere to all CDC guidelines by wearing a face covering of some sort, and to practice social distancing.

Flowers are accepted, or memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
