It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laurie Nelson Woods (Henderson, North Carolina), who passed away on October 9, 2023, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joan Pope Nelson and Harold Nelson; her spouse Willie Lewis Daniels; and her brother Harold Nelson. She is survived by: her children, Terrel Gorham (Roderick) of Raleigh, Lywanna Woods of Charlotte and Kwand Woods of Iowa; her grandchildren, Quinton Woods, Savannah Woods and Tarell Gorham; her great grandchild London; and her siblings, Michael Nelson of New York, Sharon P. Marion and Sherrill Castro.
