Lemuel Stephen Raines Obituary
Lemuel Stephen Raines Sr, 74, of Henderson, NC passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Maria Parham Hospital. Born in Vance County on March 12, 1952, he was the son of the late Robert Royal Raines and Juanita Jones Raines.
Surviving is his wife, Linda Clark Raines, a daughter, Renee Raines Brammer (Jacob), and a sonLemuel Stephen Raines Jr (Tiffany); nine grandchildren, Kristen Ellis (Mike), Katlyn Brammer, JayBrammer, Gabrielle Raines (Huncho), Daniel Raines, Joshua Bentley, Cody Bentley (Taylor), Harley Raines (AJ), and Stephanie Dail Raines (Jose); twenty-one great grandchildren Joshua, Kayden, Gabriel, Brayson, Arabella, Madison, Prince, Honesty, Sophia, Zurmani, CJ, DJ, Emma, Kinsley, Eva, Olivia, Miley, Kaison, Kingston, Isaias, Anastacia, and honorary grandson-in-lawMichael Moss and several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Preceded in death by his parents, Robert Royal Raines and Juanita Jones Raines, brother RobertMichael Raines, and honorary daughter-in-law Deanna Dail Bentley.
Celebration of life services will be held Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 2:00 pm at New Life BaptistChurch, 2174 Vicksboro Rd, Henderson, NC, 27536 conducted by Pastor Joel Beckham.
Arrangements are by Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services of Louisburg.
