We announce the death of Libby P. Jordan (Henderson, North Carolina), who passed away on October 11, 2026, at the age of 93. Libby will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Libby will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Libby will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Libby’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Percy Baskett and Essie Baskett. She is survived by: her children, Lisa Boddie (Clinton), Argretta Steed (Ralph), Juana Jones (Calvin), Alfreda Jordan, Akeshia Lipscomb (Christopher), Tuquel Thornton (Brian), Larry Jordan, Chauncey Jordan (Theresa) and Clarence Jordan (Yvonne). She is also survived by twenty-eight grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Davis-Royster Funeral Service, Inc. (926 S Garnett St, Henderson, NC 27536). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Manson Baptist Church (320 Kimball Rd, Norlina, NC 27563).
