She was predeceased by: her parents, Lois Abbott West and Bonnie Lee West; her son Thomas Graham Abbott, Jr.; her stepdaughter Melissa Daye Vaughan; and her siblings, Grace Starnes, Dan West and Thurston "Jake" West.
She is survived by: her husband Parham Gardner "P. G." Vaughan, III; her stepdaughter Jennifer Erwin (Michael) of Wake Forest; her granddaughter Morgan Abbott Kirkman (Tyler) of Wilson; her sisters, Ruby Peoples of Henderson, Patricia Davis (Bill) of Henderson and Hazel Robertson of Henderson; and her caregiver Neicey Thompkins. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
