He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Green Watson and Thelma Thomas Holman Watson; his children, David Lee Watson and Sheila Watson; and his sisters, Mary Crews, Thelma Crews and Helen Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Clarence Watson, Earl Watson, Steven Watson (Linda), Jacqueline Watson and Charlotte Watson; his siblings, Ronnie Watson, Callie Thorpe and Pearl Garrett; his brothers-in-law, Horlest Crews and James Crews; his grandchildren, Earl Watson Jr., Dominique Watson, Rashaad Watson and Ny'eisha Watson; his great grandchildren, Ja'Kiyah, Marley, Bella, Tashaad, Darius, Elijah, Remi and Rashiyah; and his friends, Charlie Cheek and John Harris. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM at the Alight Funeral & Cremation Services (549 S William St, Henderson, NC 27536). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 3174 US-158 BUS, Henderson, NC 27536-4529.
