We announce the death of Marlene Coghill Edwards of Henderson, North Carolina, who passed away on September 1, 2026. She was predeceased by: her mother Brenda Mae Tart Swonke; her stepfather Roger Dale Swonke; and her grandparents, Sam, Beulah Tart, Allen and Gladys Coghill.
She is survived by: her father Richard Allen Coghill; her husband Bennie Wayne Edwards; her sisters, Kristie Steiger (Rich), Melissa Pitchford (Sterling) and Jennifer Jacobs (Willy); her stepsisters, Brandi Dickerson and Sarah Tippett; and her nieces and nephews, Maryanna, Morgan, Ryan, Hunter, Zachary and RJ.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church (905 Americal Rd, Henderson, NC 27537). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Sunset Gardens (3174 US-158 BUS, Henderson, NC 27537).
