He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Lee Moss and Martha McDaniel Moss; and his niece Melinda Campbell. He is survived by: his children, Beth Francis (Sam) and Michael L. Moss Jr.; his grandchildren, Michael Scott Pennell, Lillian Francis, Andrew Francis, Summer Francis, Kayden Meade, Brayson Moss and Arabella Moss; his siblings, Peggy Campbell, Kay Stevenson (Robert), Tammy Moss and Larry Moss; and his niece Christina Franklin (Shawn).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sossamon Funeral Home of Henderson Wednesday (1833 Oxford Rd, Henderson, NC 27536).
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Amedisys Hospice of Franklinton, 3320 US Hwy 1 Suite B, Franklinton, NC 27525.
