She is survived by: her husband Clyde Barry Averett; her children, Todd Barry Averett (Tracy) of Raleigh and Kelley Averett Wilson (Mike) of New Bern; her grandchildren, Davis Averett (Hannah), MacKenzie A. Knight (Michael) and Blake Wilson; and her sister Nancy R. Barden. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
