He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Cleveland Parrish and Ann Ray Parrish; his wife Mary Ann Abbott Parrish; and his siblings, Ruth Newton and Willard Parrish.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Lee (Rivers) and George Parrish (Charlotte); his grandchildren, Heather Barker (David), Mary Lee Flowers (Tim) and Brenden Lee; his great grandchildren, Chase Barker, Sarah Barker, Avery Barker, Drew Barker, Claire Barker, Luke Barker and Christopher Flowers; and his caregivers, Gail Hawkins, Cynthia Hawley and Wendy Small.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sossamon Funeral Home (1833 Oxford Rd, Henderson, NC 27536). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
