He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennie Watkins Brooks and Evelyn Grace Satterwhite Brooks; and his brother James David Brooks. He is survived by: his wife Vicki Ferrell Brooks; his son Timothy Watkins Brooks (Cheryl); his granddaughter Eliza Jane Brooks; his sister Rebecca Faulkner; his sister-in-law Melinda Currin Brooks; and his friends, Dave Brooks, Thomas Richardson, Mike Satterwhite, Tommy Brooks, Henry Denny and Joseph Faulkner. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sossamon Funeral Home (1833 Oxford Rd, Henderson, NC 27536). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at the Flat Rock United Methodist Church Cemetery (2560 Satterwhite Point Rd, Henderson, NC 27537).
