He was predeceased by: his parents, H. Lester Hubbard and Ida Brown Hubbard; and his spouse Jaquelynn Yates. He is survived by: his children, Robert L. Hubbard, Jr. (Beth), Christopher B. Hubbard (Laura) of Cary and Jennifer Hubbard Harris (Wesley); his grandchildren, Canaday Hubbard Green (Michael), Robert Yates Hubbard, Brooke Daniel Elliott (Kirk), Fenton Clare Hubbard (Blake) and Christopher Thomas Hubbard; and his great grandchildren, Ellerbe Elizabeth Green, Blakely Jaquelynn Green and Wyatt Landon Seaton.
