We are sad to announce that on September 12, 2025, Robert Shaw of Henderson, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Robert shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Robert farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Sawyer Shaw Sr. and Irene Vance Smith Shaw; and his brother James Sawyer Shaw Jr.. He is survived by: his nephew James Sawyer Shaw III (Jennifer); his great-nephew Alexander Shaw; his great-niece Vivian Shaw; and his niece Kimberly Furlow (Warren).
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sossamon Funeral Home - Henderson (1833 Oxford Rd, Henderson, NC 27536).
