He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Thomas Sanford Sr. and Patricia Medlin Sanford; his brother Randall E. Sanford; and his son-in-law Ricky Vann Ellington. He is survived by: his wife Michelle Allen Sanford; his children, Kayla Danielle Sanford, Nicolas Hunter Sanford (Reta) and Christian Bryar Sanford (Cole); his grandchildren, Keithan Jase Ellington, Emilia Elise Ellington, Destin Lane Ellington and Kaiser Alexander Sanford; and his brothers, Richard "Peanut" Thomas Sanford Jr. (Rhonda), Robert Mitchell Sanford and Rodney Glenn Sanford. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
