It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ruby Elizabeth Harris of Henderson, North Carolina, who passed away on November 7, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Calvin Charlie Harris; her parents, Oscar Hoyle and Addie Hoyle; and her brothers, Milton and Thomas Hoyle.

She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Gray; her children, Alice Glossop (Gary) of Gambrills, MD and Dan Harris (Gray) of Reston, VA; her grandson Jeff Glossop (Cynthia); and her close friends, Katherine Hoyle of Henderson, NC, Linville Keeton of Henderson, NC, Betha Crews of Henderson, NC, Lucy Eatmon of Henderson, NC and Annie Belle Howard of Chesapeake, VA.. She is also survived by sisters-in-law who have been her dear friends.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully asked for donations to the Watkins Volunteer Fire Department in memory of Ruby Harris.
